GR Employment Ltd is recruiting on behalf of one of our clients for a Courier Driver based in Inverness.

This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable and customer-focused individual to join a busy logistics operation. The role is offered on a temporary basis, providing regular hours and the opportunity to gain experience within a leading parcel distribution network.

About the Role

As a Courier Driver, you will be responsible for the daily delivery and collection of shipments to and from customers across your designated route.

You will be measured on customer satisfaction and the successful completion of time-definite deliveries and collections. As a frontline representative of the business, you will be expected to deliver a professional service while maintaining a strong customer-focused approach at all times.

You must demonstrate excellent planning and organisational skills to effectively prioritise tasks and meet customer expectations. Whilst you will be assigned a geographical route, flexibility is essential, as you may occasionally be required to support alternative routes to meet business needs.

You will also be responsible for scanning shipments, maintaining accurate records, and working efficiently to ensure operational deadlines are met. The role requires sound decision-making skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.

Pay£14.73 per hourOvertime paid at time and a half after 45 hours worked per week
Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver and collect shipments safely and efficiently.Provide excellent customer service at all times.Complete deliveries and collections within agreed timescales.Accurately scan and process shipments using handheld devices.Follow designated delivery routes and schedules.Ensure all shipments are handled securely and with care.Maintain accurate delivery records and associated paperwork.Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects promptly.Adhere to all road traffic laws and company procedures.Support operational requirements by covering alternative routes when required.
Driving RequirementsHold a valid Full UK Driving Licence.Be legally entitled to drive in the UK.Have the right to work in the UK.Due to the employer's motor insurance requirements, applicants must be aged 21 or over.Have no more than 9 live penalty points on their driving licence.No major motoring convictions.Successfully complete any required driving licence, identity, reference, and background checks.Security Checks
